1. Who this notice covers

Summer Salon is an independent sole proprietorship operated by Miriam Jones.

This notice explains how Summer Salon handles information about clients and prospective clients.

2. Information we hold

• Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and any address or contact preferences you give us.
• Appointment and service records — services booked, dates, staff, prices, attendance, cancellations, and notes about the work performed.
• Payments and packages — payment records and receipts, package purchases, redemptions, remaining balances, and refunds. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Consultation information you supply or that we record during service — formulas, product and process notes, allergies or sensitivities, photographs, preferences, and any consent or acknowledgment you sign.
• Existing salon records — customer contact details and upcoming appointments imported from our previous booking system. Older package balances may remain in our manually maintained records and do not automatically appear in the online package tracker.
• Messages — emails, texts, and booking-related correspondence with us.

3. How we use it

To arrange, deliver, and follow up on services; to maintain continuity of care between visits; to take payment and manage packages, refunds, and receipts; to send booking confirmations, reminders, and service-related messages; to keep accounting and tax records; and to handle safety questions, disputes, and legal obligations.

4. Who can see it

• Authorized Summer Salon staff, for the purposes above.
• Service providers we use to run the salon. We use service providers for online booking and customer-record management, hosting and storage, payment processing, email delivery, and calendar synchronization. These services process information in connection with the functions they provide.
• Calendar entries — our current booking system's outgoing calendar entries contain busy times and an internal reference rather than customer names or service notes. Separate booking or calendar services used by the salon may handle information under their own privacy practices.
• Others as required — where you direct us to share, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety or to establish or defend legal claims.

5. Our booking pages and your browser

Our booking and package-tracking pages use browser storage for functions such as account sessions, booking selections, and short-lived guest access. Hosting and technical service providers may process network and device information when delivering and securing these services.

We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on these pages. We do not currently change how these pages behave in response to browser "Do Not Track" or similar privacy signals. This does not limit or waive any rights you may have under applicable law; contact us with any privacy request.

6. Keeping and deleting information

We keep service, payment, and consultation records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet accounting, tax, safety, and legal requirements. There is no uniform automatic deletion schedule, and copies may remain in routine backups for a period after deletion.

Closing an online booking account does not by itself delete Summer Salon's service, payment, or consultation records.

7. Access, correction, and deletion

Email hello@summersalon.co to ask for a copy of your records, to correct them, or to request deletion. Requests are handled manually and we may need to verify your identity first. We will honor requests except where we are required or permitted to keep information, and we will tell you when that applies.

8. Children's services

We do not offer accounts to children. When an adult arranges a service for a child, the information they give us about that child is held under this notice and used for arranging and delivering services and for the related safety, recordkeeping, payment, and legal purposes described in this notice.

9. Security

We use access controls and other safeguards designed to protect information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Tell us promptly at hello@summersalon.co if you believe your information has been exposed.

10. Changes to this notice

We will update the date above when this notice changes and provide additional notice where required.
